Reality of fear

In reality of fear we sometimes act in a racist way without knowing. Living in a constant reality of stress, anxiety, and despair might lead a person to behave in the worst way. There are many causes for fear when one of the most common is fear of compromising personal security and health.

Relying on this idea, it is important to ask, how will I respond if my health is in danger because of another group of people? Will I respond with racism? Will I act violently?

These are questions that are difficult to answer and should be thought about carefully. They were particularly relevant during the Corona pandemic in the United States in 2020 when Asian Americans were persecuted and experienced racism because they were blamed for the Corona pandemic.

Perceptual disruption

The damage of the Corona pandemic has led to a perceptual disruption that sees Asians in America guilty of causing and spreading the Corona around the world.

Although there is no connection at all between Asian Americans and Corona, they have still experienced violence. It is crucial to understand, whether it is right, why it happened at all, and how it can be explained.

Coronavirus effects

The Covid-19 virus, which broke out in December 2019 in Wahan, China. In mid-February 2020 the virus became a global pandemic.

Thousands of people fell ill and a large part lost their lives to the pandemic. Covid 19 led to unfortunate death but caused further damage like economic, social, and psychological crises around the world.

The corona has affected the reality of us all. Workplaces, educational and public institutions were closed. People were required to be in quarantines to stop the rate of infection and save as many lives as possible. All of these together led to social and personal feelings of fear, distress, and despair.
